Ealing BID and the Police have helped facilitate Pubwatch meetings in Ealing Broadway for the past 5 years. Every 6 weeks on an agreed date our night time economy businesses meet and discuss issues affecting them.
Everyone agrees at these meetings that all businesses will share information with one another. Each business will send a representative from each establishment in the area and it is at these meetings where businesses put forward representations as to who should be banned using our bobb scheme (behave or be banned). We also talk about incidents that have happened inside and out of all premises or current trends in the town centre. These have included violent incidents, thefts and uncooperative promoters; all of this is done to give our businesses the best information to assist in protecting their staff premises and customers.
We will be encouraging our licensees at these meetings to continue to share information by working together to create a unified and strong presence in the area.
Our licensees can expect their Ealing BID to secure guest speakers at meetings and input a comprehensive strategy to reduce alcohol related incidents in the area whilst making sure they are equipped and well informed as they strive to trade in ever increasing difficult circumstances.
